display "Jewels From the Talking Wire and Gems From the Voltage
Line" but no information on the displayer. - Page 7.
- Insulator By-Lines by Frances Terrill - Pages 44-50
- Some information on a number of relatively common styles with
speculation about their origin. A note that the CD 121 pleated skirt
toll s are "Very plentiful in California" and frequently used
on fire alarm circuits.
- Leon Barrett of Binghamton, NY reports a CD 110.5 National corkscrew.
- A poem by Ruth Camarillo "Rhapsody In Cobalt"
- Jack Wiseburn of Clayton, NJ reports a CD 738 black glass threadless
hat.
- Marion Milholland asks for input on the best way to count the
insulators in a collection. Francis proposes a contest to define
the best technique with an amber CD 145 as the prize!
December 1968:
- Insulator By-Lines by Frances Terrill - Pages 44-52
- List of entries in the contest as to what nickname should be given to
insulator collectors. The lead item was "Polecat", but a
bunch of others are listed.
- A page is dedicated to sketches of Canadian insulators.
- Mr. & Mrs. Don Harned of Chico, CA report a CD 200 California transposition
in purple.
- Doug Parks of Ogallala, NE reports a wood covered wade insulator found
near Ft. Laramie, WY.
- Thomas Wolfe of Auburn, NE reports a CD 162 S.& S.Co.in clear
glass.
- Greg Bickford of Woodland, CA reports a CD 120 aqua C.E.W.
- Ron Hendrickson of Glenfield, NY reports a CD 136.5 Boston Bottle
Works in aqua.
- Francis Terrill poem "Have You Seen My McKee?"
- Howard Banks of Merlin, OR is collecting information on Knowles
insulators.
- Frank Saccoman article "Following The Leads" about hunting
insulators - Pages 53 & 54.
