- The National Insulator Co.
- Mr. R.R. Watson of New Market, IA asks about a CD 154 smoky green
insulator marked ZICME. CD 106 and CD 203 were also mentioned.
- Doris Proper of Superior, WY reports a CD134 GOOD with an inclusion
that looks like a small arrow head.
- Mrs. N.F. Illman of London, ONT, Canada reporting that a CD 121
Standard was found in Ontario.
- Hugh Summers of Malvern, PA reports having an Amber Whitall CD 154 but
also a CD 155 Whitall Tatum and a Hemingray also in amber. Most
likely these were irridated, but that must not have been known at the
time of this article.
March 1975:

- The Boston Bottle Works - A great detailed article on the history and
CD's made by Boston Bottle Works. Covers CD 127.6, 136,7, 143.6, 145.6,
156.2, 158, 158.2, 158.9, 728, 765, and 796
- C.R. Statham of Jackson, MS question on a small white porcelain
insulator from Brazil.
- Jim Doyle of Funter Bay, AK on an unusual CD 102 Brookfield pony with
a backwards number on the dome.
- Jack Snyder of Toledo, OH report on the Third Glass Capital Insulator
show to be held in Perrysburg, OH on March 22 & 23.
- Report that two persons were apprehended using ladders to remove
expensive cable insulators from a commuter tunnel and leaving the cables
on the crossarms.
April 1975:

- O.V.G. Co. Insulators Finally Identified - Article by Joe Maurath and
Dick Roller. Nine styles are identified as follows: CD 106,
112, 120, 121, 133, 145, 160, 162, and 196

- Lowell F. Googins of Stockton, MN reports a CD 146.5

- Tom Moulton of Ballston Lake, NY provided a picture of the complete
set of Standard Glass Insulator Co. styles. There was some
discussion that Milholland listed a CD 170 Standard in his third
revision and Joe Maurath was going to check with him to verify if this
was a mistake.
- There was a short note on the passing of collector Claude Gould of
Oroville, CA.
June 1975:

- Mr. A. O. Austin and the First Cap and Pin Suspension Insulator -
Great history and pictures covering the invention of the cap & pin
suspension style.
- The Colorful Hemingray E-14B Insulators. This article covers the
CD 128 Hemingray insulators that almost all have been found near Fort
Pierce, FL and have a opalescent color.
- Show report on the Perrysburg, OH Glass Capital Insulator Show.
- Percy Hill of Baton Rouge, LA reports an unusual glass insulator (It
appears to be an early Yandell's patent)
- Joan and Andy Stahre of Essex, MA report a Hickock patent lightning
rod insulator in emerald green.
August 1975:

- Exotic Blue Glass Insulators - Lists the known insulators in peacock,
cobalt and sapphire blue.
- David Webster of Winchester, NH question on the "fade away"
threading on American insulators.
- Picture of the rare CD 174 Brookfield signal that was seen at the YPIC
get together in Manomet, MA
- Douglas N. Clark of Oakfield, ME reports a smooth base CD 106 Gayner

September 1975:

- Dig These Insulator Patents... They Were Odd-Balls in 1885! A
listing of some of the weird patents that do not match any known
insulators.
- A write up on the CD 268.5 Lawrence Gray patent
- A show report on the sixth Annual NIA Convention. Insulators for sale
included a leffert's threadless and a purple CD 140 Jumbo.
- Don Fabbi of Las Vegas, NV display "Jackpot in Jewels"
winning peoples choice
- Dennis Kotan of El Cajon, CA display "A King's Ransom of Precious
Jewels" won first place threaded glass (Cecil Munsey Award).
- Jerry Turner of Goshen, OH display of porcelain won the first place
porcelain award
- Tom Moulton of Balston Lake, NY display of base embossed glass won the
first place specialty award.
October 1975:

- The Charles S. Knowles Company. This article includes Knowles CD's and
discussion of Novelty glass and Hemingray.
- Dave Webster of Winchester, NH report of an amber CD 158 Boston Bottle
Works!
- Ray Klingensmith of Orwell, OH reports a CD 110.5 with the straight
Nat. Insulator Co. embossing.
- Bob Townsend of Jesup, GA report of a white milk glass CD 1053
spool. He also has the same style in cobalt, peacock, purple,
light purple, pea grean and olive amber. There is speculation that
Hemingray could have made these. (These are now believed to source
from Columbia, SA).
- Alan Rodgers of Miami, Fl reports additional information on the E-14B
CD 128 Hemingray pieces. He says these came from the Jacksonville
to Miami toll line which is the same line that the CD 194/195 Hemingray
54A/B insulators were found, although they were further north.
- Mike Moon of Clinton, MI reports a CD 174 Brookfield marked Brookfield
on the front and No. 27 on the back.
November 1975:

- Baby Signals - Shows known markings and colors
- Rod Ladd of Scituate, MA reports the CD 244.5 Greeley power
insulator. He also reports an unusual threadless that appears to
be CD 736.5. In addition he reports a CD 147 marked PAT. APPLIED
FOR
- Jay Turner of Manomet, MA reports a threadless that may be a varient
of CD 740.1 but does not fully match the profile. In addition he
reports a CD 266 cable.
- Joe Matalauage of York, PA reports a CD 164 Hemingray with no center
bar on either of the two E's in the embossing.
- Tom A. Jones of Sandston, VA reports a CD 145 CREB with Brookfield
spelled BROOBFIELD.
- Herbert Barker of Missould, MT reports an unusual insulator that only
has a triangular marking on the skirt. It appears to be in the CD
138 range but matches no known profile.
- Bob Alexander of Winter Haven, FL provides his opinion that the CD
287.1's in amber and peacock are of Hemingray manufacture.
December 1975:

Embossings on R. Good, WFG, and WGM insulators.
- John Jensen of Mobile, AL reports a rare CD 788 black glass threadless
insulator.
- Joe Olson of Vancouver, WA reports a Pittsburg U-241A incuse marked
JOHNS-MANVILLE.
- Lew Hohn of Rochester, NY reports a CD 202 embossed K transposition.
- Dale Dawson of Hutchinson, KA reports a CD 228.5 Armstrong 51-C2.
- E.J. Gottschalk of San Bernardino, CA reports a wooden cable insulator
(Most likely a San Francisco trolley insulator)
- A picture of a Pettingill Andrews battery jar.
- E. Stanley of Buena, NJ is looking for the Novelty Glass Co. site.
