"Slim pin" insulators that were found in a Lake Erie, OH dump.
- Glenn Drummond of Cincinnati, OH reports an unusual CD 121 toll marked
AM.TEL.TEL.Co.
- Jack Phelps of Williamsburg, IN reports CD 252 Hemingray-62 and CD 280
Hemingray-71 in carnival glass. Both came from the Hemingray dump.
- Church Barnes of Elmira, NY reports a no inner
skirt signal marked around the pin hole shoulder "PAT OCT 15
1872" - Not sure of the CD on this one.
- Gerald Brown of Two Buttes, CO reports the U-395
porcelain Mickey Mouse in both blue and brown. as well as reporting the
small M-2335 gutter top!
- Henry Longill reports a cobalt blue CD 724 base
embossed CHESTER, NY
April 1973:

- A report of a white ink-stamped Fred Locke insulator
- Reports of the embossing found on the CD 100 Surge insulators as well
as information on the side arm surge pins.
- A list of the CD number changes to eliminate the 400 series to be
replaced with decimal additions to the lower CD numbers.
- An announcement that William McLaughlin is in the process of making
some CD 162 style commemorative insulators, he is not yet sure of the
price.
- A full page of hand drawings of "Blue Porcelain Insulators"
- An article on porcelain insulators titled "Porcelain

- A page of hand drawn "Cobalt Blue Insulators" and discussion
on the varieties. Oddly enough there is a
picture of a CD 1070 Hemingray 109 in cobalt as well as a CD 1052 spool.

put insulator collecting in a bad light due to insulator thefts from
live lines.

- Article "Tepee of Glass Insulators" by Grover Brinkman of
Okawville, IL on Floyd Barnes of DeBorgia, MT who has made a giant
pyramid shaped outdoor insulator display.

Insulators For 97 Years" including a picture of the Muncie, IN
factory
- Announcement that the fifth Annual NIA National Show will be in
Hershey. PA
