Non Glass or Porcelain Pin-type Insulators

Most pintype insulators are either made of glass or porcelain but there are a few made with composite materials, plastic, rubber or wood.   This guide is intended to show the worldwide varieties of these.  Note that the intention is to document manufactured insulators and not home made items that were used as insulators. The convention used on this site is to list insulators in the country they were manufactured if known, else they will be listed where they were found.  Many companies made insulators specifically for export to a particular country and that may be the only place they were used. The goal will be to define a numbering system for these, which will be done when sufficient items are documented to guide the process.
