Non-glass and non-porcelain Insulators from the United Kingdom

Like the United States, The United Kingdom was a very early adopter of the Telegraph and therefore needing insulators since the mid 19th century.  Porcelain has been the primary material for British insulators, but there are a number of styles made of different types composition material. There may also be plastic or rubber insulators.
