1863: Homer Brooke made trials of moulds & presses at the Brookfield glass factory in South Brooklyn. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]

Nov. 26, 1864: Homer Brooke billed Brookfield for molds, Brookfield refused to pay. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
1867: Homer Brooke testified in case of  Rowley vs. Gibney & Goble or  Rowley vs. Houghton jar design suit. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Dec. 17, 1867 Homer Brooke made molds lettered TILLOTSON & other items for Tillotson & Co. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Late Dec. 1867: Homer Brooke conceived his insulator press idea in the office of Tillotson & Co., Dey St.,  /early Jan. 68 NYC, in presence of Luther G. Tillotson, B.B. Hagerty, & Horatio Reed. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Jan. 5, 1869:  Pat #85,637 for Glass-Mold issued to Homer Brooke, New York, NY.  
Apr. 7, 1869:  Homer Brooke bought $1,171.52 worth of tools from (Aries?) Brooke & John Chilver.  [Photocopy of handwritten bill of sale]
July 1869: Homer Brooke's insulator press introduced into Brookfield's shop.
Aug. 10, 1869: Pat #93,591 for Glass-Mold issued to Homer Brooke, New York, NY.   Shows figure of  straddle-lip top seal jar lid.
Oct. 25, 1869: James M. Brookfield ordered one screw machine from Homer Brooke for $45. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Nov. 2, 1869: Homer Brooke delivered one screw machine to James M. Brookfield for $45. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Nov. 1869: Homer Brooke applied for patent on his screw-thread insulator press. [1871 U.S. Patent Office document]
Dec 11, 1869: Homer Brooke applied for his insulator press patent (#99,145).  [Decisions of Commissioner of Patents, 1873, p. 108]
