1842: Homer Brooke born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, son of William Brooke & Jane Fisher. [Personal History Notes of Homer Brooke,  done by his wife]
1849: Homer Brooke came to U.S.A. along with family (wife & children, Homer, George, Aries, Emily, Jennie, & Mattie). [Personal History Notes of Homer Brooke, done by his wife]  
1855/56: Homer Brooke stated that he saw John L. Mason and another man come into his father's shop to inquire about having molds made for a screw thread jar.  [Jan. 21, 1920 letter from Homer Brooke to George A. Ball]
1857: Homer Brooke left public school in Jersey City, NJ to work for his father in his shop at Jersey City Glass Works.  
1859: Homer Brooke apprenticed to his father in his New York City shop at White, corner of  Centre St. [Personal History Notes of Homer Brooke, done by his wife]
