The Treasure Hunt!!
Thanks to fantastic advance planning by Mike Bliss of Ft. Collins, CO and show hosts Steve and Melanie Marks, a great event was started! At 7:00 AM Sunday morning, 31 teams of collectors gathered in the lobby for instructions on the hunt. Mike Bliss had flown in earlier in the spring to set-up this fun event with the assistance of the Doubletree staff and Steve and Melanie.
Each team got challenging clues in a different order, each clue providing the location of the next clue. The clues were distributed all through-out the huge hotel complex! Clue locations included everything from waterproof capsules in a fountain to a box hidden in a piece of lobby furniture! Many nice insulators were donated as prizes, and all finishers received a prize!
Coming in first were Bob Stahr and Rick Soller (1997 Chicago, IL National Show Hosts )! They selected a great CD 162 Cobalt blue Hemingray as their prize.
