1994 National Show Displays

There were 16 displays at the show covering a nice mix of glass and porcelain.

"Rare Hemingray Insulators"

This noncompetitive display included rare and seldom seen Hemingray insulators along with the newly found "spaceman" who's maker is unknown.

"Singing The Blues"

This display shows some great glass in shades of blue as well as some fantastic flea market finds.  Finds were  a Hemingray cobalt signal ($10), an olive green blob top Boston ($5), a small Harloe ($3) and a blue-gray star keg ($10).  This display won the NIA award for Best of Color and the Nor-Cal Insulator Club's award for Best Use of Western Insulators.

"I Got the JD Blues"

This display shows a huge variety of Jeffery-Dewitt insulators in their characteristic light blue glaze.  It received the NIA Award for Best of Specialty.

 

Display by: Jon Bayes of Apple Valley, CA

"A Toll Road to Texas"

This creative display shows colorful and rare CD 121 "toll" style insulators and won the Bob & Phoebe Adams Showmanship Award and the Triple Ridge Insulator Club award for the Best Use of Denver Glass.
