Frank and Margaret Miller were also pioneers in our hobby. In 1971 , Frank produced the first National Show Commemorative to commemorate both the 1970 National show and the 1971 National show in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The National Commemoratives have become very collectable themselves!
Gaye and Terry MacDonald of Bellingham, Washington traveled 2,400 miles to the show!
Paul Houpt of Columbia City, Indiana was another major early collector. He hosted several fine shows in Columbia City before moving to Upper Sandusky, Ohio in the 1980's. Paul was known for his friendly spirit, his booming laugh, and his waxed black handlebar mustache -- No mustache in this picture!
