Photographs of Insulators In use

As time goes by there are fewer and fewer early insulators still in use.  Many collectors got the "collecting bug" from finding insulators along railroad tracks and still getting to see miles of open wire and glass.  This pictorial album is intended to preserve as much of these memories and to give a good understanding of how insulators were used.  

Brent Burger has Kindly provided a great selection of "In-use" photos that he has taken over time along with information on what is shown.  These photos make up the "Modern era" (over the last 30 years) photo section.  I'm also looking for early photos taken in the past showing early lines that no longer exist.
