2024 NIA Hall of Fame Inductee

 Steve Blair - NIA #247

Feb 14, 1944 - Nov 29, 2012

As a lifelong Ohio resident, Steve Blair married Lois and started collecting in the late 60s. Along with Lois and Ed Hollar, he hosted the first Mid-Ohio show in London, Ohio, in 1971. Along with various co-hosts, he built this show into the largest and longest running show in the hobby.

Steve had a passion for the hobby and the collectors. He immediately connected with everyone he met and always focused on the fun and camaraderie in the hobby. His influence with collectors and support of shows is still felt today. His favorite saying was "Laughter Keeps You Young."

Steve Blair was an integral part of the insulator collecting hobby for decades and his influence lives on. The Mid-Ohio show has been carried on by Lois and the Bosters in Steve's memory, and continues to be one of the best and biggest to this day. If anyone doubts how many collectors' lives he touched, his award received a standing ovation from the crowd at Elkhart.

For his extraordinary contributions to the hobby, the NIA inducts Steve Blair into our Hall of Fame in 2024.
