S.P. (Sociedade de Porcelanas) of Coimbra started in the 1930s and made utilitarian dishes (dinner and tea services) for hotel and restaurant use. They also made insulators competing with Vista Alegre and the Electro-Ceramic company. They were purchased by Vista Alegre in the 1950s but continued to make products until 2005 when they stopped production.
