Chodziez: Poland
Chodziez, Poland
|
This factory was originally located in a building of the Grudzinski castle purchased from count Koenigsmarck. Porcelain production started in 1896 under ownership of Annaburger Steingutfabrik AG Annaburg. In 1921 Polish goldsmith Stanisław Mańczak purchased the factory and this is likely when the SM logo was used. Around 1935 up until 1940 the factory was owned by Czesław Szrama and Wincenty Kapczyński. WWII made the Chodziez factory under German state ownership and they used the Kolmar marking in this period from 1940-1945. The C in a triangle was used after WWII.
