Porcelain Pin Base Insulators |
Pin base insulators are intended to increase the overall insulation value by adding extra protection against a flashover to the metal pin. There is currently no hobby numbering system for porcelain pin bases.
 Shown are four different porcelain pin base insulators. The majority of pin bases are unglazed, the two on the right had matching glazes to the insulators. Some of the earlier versions are marked Fred M. Locke on their base. |
