The "Haley" Insulator:

This very unusual insulator has no markings and was nicknamed after the collector who originally found it.  To date this early piece has not been given a CD number.  The catalog page below from an 1873 Charles T. Chester catalog shows the Haley with the comment "Made of hot cast porcelain or Cryolite -- An extremely hard substance.  These insulators are furnished with internal screws to fit brackets."
