This was likely made by KPM (Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur) of Germany, known in Australia as 'Berlin Imperial Pottery' between 1859-1865. KPM stopped making insulators for customers outside of Prussia due to war with Austria in 1864-65. (Thanks to Teresa Dempsey for this information)
This style was used on a telegraph line from Albury NSW to Mt. Gambier.
