Rabone Feez & Co.: Australia

RABONE FEEZ & Co

The company was founded around 1851 by Adolph Feez from Germany in a partnership agreement with his employer Rabone Brothers & Co, a metal manufactory firm . The partnership was known as Rabone Feez & Co. It was a good time for business as the population of Australia was approaching one million people, gold had just been discovered, and the rush to the digging led to an explosion in wealth and doubled the population within 15 years. The latest reference I see for this company is 1905, but I suspect they were in business longer. Insulators have been found with their marking, it is not known if they made the insulators or they were special order for the firm.
