Electro Ceramica: Portugal

Vila Nova de Gaya, Portugal

Electro Ceramica was founded around 1916 to manufacture the porcelain parts of electrical wiring devices that had previously been imported primarily from Germany. The 1919 issue of Electrical Review states that they make about 1000 higher voltage (up to 15,000V) and 5000 low voltage insulators per day along with thousands of small insulators, fuses, rosettes, switches and other devices with plans to double the capacity.
