Some notes on Romanian telephone/telegraph insulators from Zoltan Drinoczy:

SL means "for wood pin" includes normal and side pins
SO means "for steel pin" normal pins and transposition brackets and the number is the size.
SL1 - CD 409 local circuits and replacing, repairing, maintenance etc.
SL2 - CD 408 normal standard
SO1 - CD 407 for transposition brackets
SO2 - CD 445 for transposition arms and carrier frequency circuits

SO3 - CD 446 for railway lines only, CFR Romanian Railway's ownership
