  • A letter from Joe Maurath Jr. who was the contributing editor of the Old Bottle Magazine (OBX) from July 1974 through May of 1981 notes the following.  He had seen a red Pyrex CD 234 at the Marlborough National in 1995 - this one was an S mold.  He also noted that the CD 140 Jumbos most sourced from the Boston subway.  Many were taken from the live cables in 1975 leading to fires in the subway stations, injuries and suffocation fatalities.
